"Procurement Officer: The Procurement Officer supports the procurement and logistics management for procurement of supplies, equipment and services.
Responsibilities:
· Performing the purchasing of equipment, services, and supplies as directed by the department Manager and the Purchasing Committee.
· Following and enforcing procurement policies & procedures and based on requirements and regulations.
· Preparing all procurement documents according to procurement policies & procedures
· Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased in coordination with relevant departments.
· Documenting the procurement department’s activities.
· Maintaining and updating suppliers’ database with relevant information, such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, evaluation scores, etc.
· Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
· Preparing procurement department’s progress reports.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field.
· Relevant coursework in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management, with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position in a local or international Manufacturing companies.
· Analytical skills and ability to undertake complex analysis and price comparisons of multiple vendor quotes/bids required; competency and experience with spreadsheets required.
· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
· Accurate and precise attention to detail. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
· Good financial understanding.
