Job Description:
Perform multi skill tasking and functions of the Safety and Quality Department appropriate to the assigned task(s) to ensure that all statutory, regulatory and adopted standards requirements for managing safety and quality are met and ultimately ensuring that airworthiness standards and quality of work produced by the engineers/mechanics.
Tasks include in whole in part - but not limited to- the following; Safety and Quality systems audits, product audits and surveillances, risk assessment and management, handling technical occurrences and Safety and Quality reporting scheme, Safety and Quality investigations, Safety and Quality Performance measurement, data collection and analyses, occupational health and safety management.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a Lead for Safety and Quality Auditing and Investigations team.
- Follow up with the department’s manager regarding the performance of the assigned function or task to the satisfaction of the line manager in charge of the area of specialty.
- Liaise with the Safety and Quality Standards Admin for workflow and task assignment as per the manpower allocation system and Q-pulse module interface, and to perform assigned tasks within the time frame and target dates assigned to the task.
- Ensure compliance with the all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to safety, quality, occupational health & safety and conformance to any adopted standards by Joramco.
- Lead safety and quality process and product audits in accordance with the approved internal audit program.
- Lead on the safety and Quality Product Surveillance Program to oversight contracted customer aircraft /components to determine the effectiveness of the procedures, report and follow up on any corrective / preventive action.
- Lead safety and quality audits on approved contracted and subcontracted service provider and suppliers in accordance with external audit program.
- Maintain an effective non-compliance tracking and reporting capability that ensures comprehensiveness and proper identification of genuine root causes for safety and quality non-compliances using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Follow up on non-conformities and noncompliance identified during Safety and Quality activity and ensuring the remedial corrective and preventive actions are satisfactory.
- Lead safety and Quality investigations in relation to incidents and hazard reports including those contracted customers claims and reports in relation to aircraft maintained at Joramco facility.
- Participate in safety and Quality documentation review, amendment and drafting of changes to forms, documents, procedures, etc. and recommend such changes or amendments after evaluation.
- Review and recommend improvements in the work procedures, Safety and Quality manual, and coordinate with other related sections for any revisions and updates.
- Participate in certification authorization proceedings including initial competence assessment, exam committee, verbal and written examinations, etc. make the final decision for the grant of any certification privileges.
- Participate in safety and quality performance measurement, produce process measurements, and statistical analysis.
- Carry out and participate in corporate communications and networking with the business, which articulate and support the mission of Joramco safety and quality systems to assures delivery of safe, reliable, competitive MRO Services through involving all stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of Joramco products and services and promote for an error –free maintenance environment.
- Prepare periodic and non-periodic reports as required
- Design and conduct safety and quality awareness and training sessions for targeted audience in coordination with the Training department.
- Liaise with the competent manager of the department in any safety and quality project or event and as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in relevant engineering discipline
- 8 years of Aviation Maintenance experience for license holders, Component Certifying staff or specialized services qualification.
- 8 years of aviation Maintenance experience of which at least 3 year of Safety and Quality experience for Diploma holders.
- 8 years of Aviation Maintenance experience of which at least 2 year of Safety and Quality experience for Engineers.
- English language proficiency adequate or equivalent to holding an aircraft maintenance license
- Holder of B1, B2 or C ratings aircraft maintenance license
- Component Certifying staff or specialized services qualification
- Aviation Maintenance Diploma with proven aviation experience
- General knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance practices and management.
- General knowledge Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and maintenance procedures.
- Good Knowledge of Safety and Quality Management.
- Good knowledge of initial and continuing airworthiness regulations
