Information Communication Officer (National)
The Opportunity
The specific objectives of hiring an Info Comms Officer is to have a person who can identify needed information and procure it and can produce regular weekly and biweekly reports, newsletters and situation reports in order to make them accessible for the organization. The person should also has the ability to visually present this information, so ccomputer literacy and proficiency on In Design is a plus, in addition to experience in the field of Education Monitoring Mechanisms.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: AMC Director
Location: Amman, Jordan

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Internal communications and information-sharing
*Design, layout and disseminate the monthly newsletter;
*Coordinate inputs for regular Sitreps as needed
*Produce other accurate, clear and consistent information and communication outputs relating to emergency responses as needed
*Ensure that the relevant documents are made available on internal communications systems (OneNet,
dropbox, and news bulletins)
Communications
*Support staff in the SRO and in partner organisations to develop and share high quality case studies, including written testimonies, photographs and audio footage
*Develop and deliver a clear and effective system for internal communications.
*Design, layout and proof all external documents in line with Save the Children's brand
Team Support and Coordination
*Lead the AMC team's MEAL activities and internal reporting
* Monitor and report on budgets, coordinate payments and liaise with relevant other departments
*Provide support to the media and communications team on key moments as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
*Ability to visualize information, computer literacy on In Design is essential for information officers, as a large part of their time will be spent working with digital resources, electronic document.
*Experience in managing and maintaining databases, and updating information catalogues, newsletters, reports and sitreps, to make sure that the information they manage is safe, secure and easily accessible.
*Experience in identifying and procuring information
*Ability to manage the security, accessibility and quality of consistent information
*Ability to identify and interpret relevant data and statistics
*Ability to present findings in attractive communications style
*Excellent command in Arabic and English
