Job Brief:
Responsible for performing front line activities related to installation, commissioning, repair, operation, maintenance, expansions and new solutions of Data Value Added Services - VAS platforms and associated equipment to meet KPIs in order to ensure that voice and data services provided to customers are both continuous and reliable and matches Umniah’s standards and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in building and updating VAS network design and topology
- Review database of all VAS elements
- Support other divisions with the core network related requirements
- Provide first-level and second-level technical support for VAS services
- Participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation (on call for emergencies)
Requirements
Education Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or any other related field
Level of Experience Intermediate Experience in Telecommunication Core Engineering
Certifications & Licensure
Essential:
- Huawei SMSC, MMSC, WAP, USAU, Protei SMSCs A2P and P2P, VAS aggregator, SMPP, HLR, MSC, USSD, Bulk SMSC and USSD systems, NOR, MCN, VM, VSMS content providers maintenance and troubleshooting
- SS7 and Diameter Protocols Certification
- 2G, 3G, 4G, and VoLTE Certification
- Linux Certification
Desirable:
- Cloud Certification
- Virtualization Certification
- Programming Languages Certification
- Operating systems like Windows, Red hat or SUSE Linux, SUN Solaris and etc.
